Hmm... sitting in my PBL tutorial room, sipping on sake, reading about testicular descent... I should just take a photo of this and be grateful for today... but today I wanted to share something that I am actually grateful to Victoria for.
Victoria seems to always try to steal our South Australian thunder, they have the Melbourne Cup, they did not use to have Famer's Union (they do now) and they stole the Formula One from us... but something that we don't have in SA that I really appreciate here is supermarkets that close at MIDNIGHT!... that right adelaidians, instead of hurrying and panicking around 9pm, the supermarkets here, COLES and WOOLIES(some are still safeway) are all opened until 12 midnight! It is such a luxury being able to go out almost anytime after uni, after work and get some shopping. The best we have in Adelaide is a COLES that OPENS at midnight.
So today, I think in Geelong I am pretty lucky to have the luxury of longer supermarket operating hours. What do you think? I think you may not really think much about it, but if they were shorter, it would make a lot of difference, would mean that I need to get organized!... = bad
Have a great night people!

4ONE Day-6-09JUN11
How wet would I be if I did not have an umbrella these few days... it has been pouring down!! lucky today wasn't too bad, but I am still very very... grateful for my huge umbrella. Without it, I would most certainly be cold and miserable many times now. Not to mention my kicks would be absolutely soaked. Also stumbled upon some photos on flickr. They are pretty awesome. Loving the colors and feel of the photos. So if you have a moment, go check out JiaRen Hui, the color work is pretty awesome.
Enjoy the rest of 09 Jun 2011!!

4ONE Day-5
Hurrah... almost didnt make it... but here we are at day 5.
I was struggling to think of something creative to post up today... but then reminded myself, that the purpose of my project is not to go out of my way to impress anyone, but to do this for myself. Post up what I want to be thankful for.
With the weather getting colder and colder, today i think would have only been about 9 degrees in G-Town, there are so many things that I appreciate. Today the 8th of June, I am grateful for something that most of us take for granted and don't really appreciate much, but I am sure if we lost it though, you would notice and be quite miserable. I really am grateful for being able to have hot showers every morning and night! Gets me warm and ready for the day or sleep!... enjoy. When you are having a hot shower today... just remind yourself how lucky you really are.

4ONE Day-4
No this is not a campaign promoting KRAFT, although they do make lots of great stuff, vegemite, crunchy peanut butter and philly cheese... mmm... hungry... today's photo has a little more to it than just sandwiches.
When I was young, my parents would pack lunch for me. This was my lunch - from memory. I used to remember day in day out, opening my lunch box and finding a neat sandwich in a plastic sandwich bag, smeared with peanut butter... as the years went on, I started to get bored of this lunch and would often "lose" my lunch in the bin... opting to rather not eat lunch at all, rather than take lunch home and get told off for not eating during lunch time! how silly I was when I was little. Now, living away from home, I have no one to make my lunch...
So today Tuesday 7th of Jun 2011 twenty years late, I would like to thank my parents and let them know how grateful I am for taking care of me through all of my growing up life...even though I may not have appreciated it at the time. Some people are still lucky enough to get packed lunch!...

4ONE Day-3
Day THREE! My current target is 5 days lol!!
I was lying in bed this morning thinking of all the possible things I could be thankful for. So many things came to mind, how would I choose one? Then, I received a text...

Sometimes little things like a text message might only be just that... a text message. But a text message from my beautiful fiancee reminding me that even though we are hundreds of kilometers apart, she still loves me is always a great start to the day. So today 6th of Jun 2011, I am grateful for the little things that Angie does to remind me that I am loved.
4ONE Day-2
I made it to day 2. YES.. achievement... made it before midnight so it still is day 2... right?
Had a great talk with Angie last night, and was complaining to her about how much study I have... and how I am going to fail... the usual topic of the past 2 or more weeks.
"You will be fine. At least you CAN study. So many people want to study but can't"
So today Sunday 5th of Jun 2011 I am grateful that I have the chance to study. Not only that, but I have a chance to study something that will hopefully help someone other than myself in the future.
So in-line with everyone frantically studying for exams at the moment, don't forget to take a break (which i am sure you are doing now... cos you are reading my blog).
I know that sometimes studying can feel like:
But, in the end everything will be fine in the end. Good luck with the next week, SWOTVAC and EXAMS everyone! See you on the other side.

Personal Project. Day -1
I have been wanting to do something with my photography for a long time. Photography, being an art, will not be accepted or appreciated by all and I think it is time for me to do something for myself. Need to stop looking for people's approval and learn to appreciate life, knowing that there is more to life than being popular. Not everyone makes it. If I make myself and those closest to me happy at least in my heart, I have made it. I really need to be more grateful, appreciate life and not take it for granted.
This project that I am starting has been a long time coming, I have just needed to find a reason in myself to do it. Many people are part of the project 365 or APAD, where they take one photo a day for a year and share it with the world. I always thought that the aim of this project was to improve photography skills by taking a photo a day, and always criticized people that posted up photo after photo of random crap. Who was I to criticize them? Just because a photo has no structure, poor quality, doesn't mean that it has no meaning. After stumbling across a blog by Hailey Bartholomew, I have been, I guess inspired somewhat.
Big call, I hope I can keep it up, because I am known to be lazy... but today, I will do it.
For the next 365 days I will be appreciating life. A small portion at a time, taking 1 photo a day of something I am grateful for. Someone once said, "The length of your life is fixed. The width and depth, is up to you". I hope to add to the width and depth of my life and the lives of others that follow my journey for the next 365 days.
"1 photo a day, 1 camera, 1 lens, 1 thing I am grateful for"
This is the 4ONE project.
Day - 1
I was discussing this project with Angie last night, and asked her "What should we be grateful for tomorrow?"
Angie - "We have jobs".
To start off the project today, Saturday 4th of Jun 2011, I am grateful that I have a job. I have a job that provides me with an income so that I have something to eat and drink, so that I have somewhere to sleep tonight. When you actually take some time out to think of all the things a job provides for, no longer is it "Urgh... I got to go to work again..." Without a job i wouldn't have this heater that is keeping me warm as I tap away at my keyboard. Although some people have a job that they truly enjoy, and I am certainly envious of such people, at least I have a job, and don't have to worry where my next meal is coming from. Grateful that I have a job.
