4ONE Day-65-07AUG11

Happy Birthday Jun. Hope you have a great day playing in the SA open.

What am I grateful for today on this cold but sunny Sunday morning. I guess I should tell you what I am not grateful for today first then everything make sense after. I woke up, as I do every morning, and yes being asian for me = having not much facial hair, but it also means that I look really dirty if I do not shave every morning... exhibit A

To overcome this untidiness, I am grateful to have a wonderful device that removes(well trims) unwanted stubble from my face, regardless of how little I originally have. Nothing is worse than leaving the house looking like the above picture...except maybe leaving the house with no clothes on or non-matching clothes...
grateful for my shaver.

4ONE Day-64-06AUG11

As you may or may not know, I lost my job just before exams (about a 2 months ago) and haven't been working since then. Funnily enough, I hadn't started looking for a new job yet, but out of the blue I got a call from a prospective employer asking if I needed a job. He had got my phone number from the pharmacist that used to manage the pharmacy which I was initially working at and to cut a long story short, I worked my first shift at the new pharmacy on Saturday. So other than being grateful for things working out and me having a new job, I don't think I have mentioned how grateful I am for my work shoes. My feet used to hurt so much after a whole day of standing in the pharmacy. Since Angie got me on to ECCO shoes, I have never looked back. They are certainly not the cheapest shoes in the world but I have found them to be a great investment as they have some sort of awesome innersole and great shoe construction, and don't look half bad. If anyone wants a great pair of work shoes, get down and get some ECCOs. Only downside is that the customer service at the Adelaide (myer center) shop is really really really shitty. ON the bright side, you can get them also a the shoe shop next to Target on Rundle St. and also at the shoe shop on Gouger St. Chinatown. Also there are ECCO factory outlets in Melb... so... good.

ECCO. Get into them.

4ONE Day-63-05AUG11

Been offline for the past few days... so need to post up my entries from the past few days... walking on the way to uni a few days ago, I saw some awesome colors and really want to share them. Grateful for reminders that Spring is on it's way. Even in the middle of winter these beautiful flowers are in bloom and really put a smile on my face. Thought I would share my what I was grateful for with people.

Hope it makes you smile too.

4ONE Day-61-03AUG11

What awesome weather we have been having these two days... apparently it is going to rain tomorrow too!... so today I am grateful for the great weather, letting me get my laundry done...

and we couldn't resist but to move our studies outside in the sunshine this afternoon. Days like these are just bliss. Love the weather!

4ONE Day-60-02AUG11

When I am studying at home, actually studying anywhere... I tend to procrastinate... heavily... one of my outlets is through my guitar. I love strumming along to random songs that I do not know the words to, dreaming that I am somewhere else... I guess in a parallel universe where I can actually sing, and play the guitar. I am grateful to be able to use this outlet, but sometimes I wish I had more control not to pick it up...

4ONE Day-59-01AUG11

Today, I could tell you how grateful I was for such great weather...

I could tell you how grateful I was for signs that make me laugh...seriously?... are you sure you can ride a bike up the stairs Dennis?

I could have told you about how grateful I was today for getting some awesome parcels filled with deep fried fish and chips... mmm... but too salty... so I guess I wasn't THAT grateful... lol...

I could have told you how grateful I am to have some awesome friends... lol...

or how grateful I am for popcorn...

But today I want to share someone or some people that I am grateful for. I am really grateful to know people like my friends Tim and Nicole.

Why? cos they inspire me to care about the environment. They are two of the greenest people I know... and although I don't know alot about global warming, rising sea-levels, contamination of our environment or the sustainability of our world, I have learnt alot about how I can treat this earth better by following some of the examples of my two friends.

From being constantly reprimanded for putting bottles in the bin, to thinking... hmm... Tim must be walking to uni... (at least an hour one way), seeing how much passion these two have for caring for our environment (by the way I think Tim is organizing some tree planting in the near/immediate future so get on to him if you are interested) is a constant inspiration to me to try and live a little greener.

Today they were on mission to spread the word and raise awareness regarding some environmental issues that have been occurring in the USA, where gas mining by method of fracking was causing contamination of the water system and leading to some terrible consequences in certain states. Tim screened the movie/documentary titled:
and although it is not a movie that I would have gone out and watched/downloaded, sometimes it takes people like Tim and Nicole to hold events such as tonight's movie night to raise awareness about things that are happening in our world...

even the beer was green... WIN. and there was some awesome food and discussion after the movie... until the fire alarm went off... which WASN'T our fault... some guy on the 5th floor forgot his pass and hit the fire alarm...??? yeah wtf... THANKS guy on the 5th floor.

If our world had more people that were involved in keeping our world green, it would be a much better place.

Hope everyone had a great Monday! Take care and enjoy the rest of the week!
